The Promise

To each and every faithful friend
With whom we stayed until the end
Rest in peace while we explain
That one day we will meet again

If we were not there and so did fail
To see the last wag of your tail
Our love for you will never wane
Forgive us, please, when we meet again

We were with your presence blessed
Your ample heart, which won the quest
For beauty, flowing in your vein
Will see the day we meet again

You gave us many happy years
Departing, with us crying tears
We pray that you were without pain
And promise that we will meet again

Greater friends we will not make
You are they that give not take
Perchance we have some more to gain
Until the day we meet again

When that day comes and we all meet
May you once more rise to your feet
To walk with us in sun not rain
And fulfil the promise to meet again

Do I love you
to the moon and back?

more than that

I love you to the desert sands
the mountains, stars
the planets and

I love you to the deepest sea
and deeper still
through history

Before beyond I love you then
I love you now
I’ll love you when

The sun’s gone out
the moon’s gone home
and all the stars are fully grown

When I no longer say these words
I’ll give them to the wind, the birds
so that they will still be heard

DREAMS

Dreams are where you relive memories,
a special time gone forever.
Dreams can take you to far away places,
that are only there while you sleep.
Dreams can make you smile or make you cry,
but when you wake you must say good-bye.
Dreamers can be what they want to be.
Dreamers are you and me.

Dreams are where you can see things,
that can no-longer be.
Dreams can take me to you,
no-matter where you are.
Dreams can make me smile or make me cry,
I never want to wake if I have to say good-bye.

Dreams can let me see you,
To touch you and hold you.
That's the only time I can be with you.
That's all I have left of you.
But I'll see you tonight in my dreams.

Always Missing You

As the days continue to pass
The feeling of missing you only gets stronger.
The tears only fall harder
and the pain continues to linger
my thoughts become more scattered
the nightmares become more real
And the emptiness only gets deeper
My heart stays on you
while this lonely life becomes less meaningful
And regardless of what goes on
all i can do is miss you

One of the wonders


I searched the wonders of nature
For visions as lovely as you,
Found snow-covered peaks and waterfalls
And roses with sequins of dew.

Then taking my palette and brushes
I captured the joys that I saw
And hung all the canvases on my walls
Till the walls couldn't hold any more.

Surrounded by these many splendours
My dazzled mind held in their thrall,
I spent several hours and didn't feel
The pain of your absence at all.

But alas all my beautiful pictures
Began to dissolve in the night,
And walls once again stark and empty
Greeted the cold morning light.

I thought of you then and remembered
All the treasures beyond your sweet face.
And I knew you were one of the wonders
That nature could never replace.
